Enable Duplication Removal
Connect can automatically delete duplicate events by performing a connector cleanup when you add a new connector or sync source. Duplicated events will be deleted from the calendars you synchronize with. By default, this feature is disabled and it can be turned on and configured from the toolbar.
To enable automatic duplication removal:
1. Click on the small arrow next to the Preferences icon and select the Event Duplication Settings option.
2. Select the Perform connector cleanup when adding new connectors or sync sources option. If you wish you can also select other criteria such as Location.
Please note that:
- Events are matched for duplicates based on a set of matching criteria. Events must have a matching summary and time, including recurrence, in order to be considered duplicates. You can further restrict how a duplicate event is determined by having Calgoo match the location field, attendees, and the original calendar. If you select the original calendar option, events created on different sync sources will not match for removal. Checking more criteria reduces the number of events that are removed.
- Events are never matched across connectors. Event duplicates are only found by comparing events from the sync sources in the connector, never with sync sources from other connectors.
- If you have an existing connector which has duplicate events, please perform a connector cleanup.
3. Click the OK button.
* Duplicated events will be removed during the first new synchronization.
